Increasing your existing living space can transform the way you and your family live.

Whether you are considering a conservatory, converting your garage or adding an extension or loft room here is some useful information and key things to consider.

Garage Conversion
Since most of us spend the majority of our time downstairs a garage conversion is a clever use of space you already have. We’ve converted garages into all type of rooms – from playrooms and kitchens to gyms and offices. You could also decide to remodel the layout and function of your other rooms by remodelling — removing existing walls or dividing rooms with partition walls — to suit your needs.

Loft Conversions
Loft conversions offer a convenient way to add an extra bedroom, bathroom or home office. The easiest way to tell if your loft is suitable for conversion is to see if you can stand upright at its highest point, as this needs to be at least 2.3 metres.

Extending
If you choose to add to your home by extending your living space then this is also a good opportunity to design your additional room to reflect your requirements; maybe by combining the old and the new to create a large kitchen/family room or adding light by installing velux windows to a pitched roof.

Adding a Conservatory
Your conservatory will add a room which brings light and space to your home and well designed, with proper ventilation and heating will be enjoyed all year round and not just in the summer months. You may like to consider your style preferences and the size and positioning to suit your garden and home.

Tiled Roof Garden Room
A cross between an extension and a conservatory, with the structural solidity of a tiled roof and the benefit of capturing maximum light through the lower level glazed area, a garden room often has folding or sliding doors which enable to back of the room to be opened up onto your outside living space.
