What happens when we meet to discuss our garage conversion?
Jason will meet with you to discuss your garage conversion plans. We will then e-mail or post a copy of your proposal detailing the specification and order of works, along with some design ideas if required and a fixed costing. Your consultation and proposal is a free service and without any obligation.
Will you expect me to make a decision at that meeting?
No! This is not a sales appointment with the aim of securing a sale. At Space Solutions we listen carefully to what you want and tailor a proposal to reflect your requirements. Any reputable company will provide a comprehensive, personally tailored quotation and expect you to take time to examine it, ask questions and perhaps arrange to see their previous work.
Will you be able to answer any questions I have?
Jason, as the owner of Space Solutions will be able to answer questions you have about our Company, our values and how we do things. He also carries out much of the work involved in constructing your garage conversion so he has detailed technical and procedural knowledge.
Who will be carrying out my Garage Conversion?
The construction of your garage conversion is carried out by the Space Solutions Team - come and meet us.
Will we need planning permission to convert our garage?
In the vast majority of cases the answer is no. However we always check with your local authority and have them confirm to you in writing that this is the case. In instances where planning permission is required we are able to facilitate the application on your behalf.
Will I need to get Building Regulations Approval?
All of Space Solutions garage conversions are carried out under Building Regulations Approval in conjunction with your local authority. Our proposals are fully inclusive of the Building notice fee and we deal with the paperwork on your behalf. The building inspector will visit your garage conversion throughout to ensure that we are complying with the legal requirements, complete the final sign-off of your garage conversion and issue the Completion Certificate.
Do I need to get Plans drawn up?
Space Solutions can provide you with scale drawings as part of our free design and build service.
Are your quotations free?
Our proposals are free and completely without obligation.
Are your costings fixed costs or estimates?
Our proposals fully detail all works to be carried out and the quotation is a fixed costing, including waste removal and local authority building notice. There are no hidden costs.
How long will my Garage Conversion take to complete?
Generally two weeks for a single garage conversion and a little longer for a double garage conversion.
Do you provide a contract?
Trading Standards have approved our written contracts. The contract details all of the works to be carried out including the cost.
What guarantee do you provide?
Space Solutions guarantee all materials and labour for 10 years. We also provide an independent insurance backed guarantee. There is no additional cost for either of the guarantees.
How long has Space Solutions been trading?
Space Solutions has been carrying out Garage Conversions and Conservatories for over 6 years. We are a Limited Company registered at Companies House.
