So will you recoup your costs?
Although several of our clients have had their property valued before and after their garage conversion and in all of these cases the property value did increase, it is still very much dependent on a number of external factors.
We would always advise against converting your garage predominantly to make money from the sale of your house with extra space.
That said, extra living accommodation may make your property more saleable and may possibly increase its appeal when compared to similar properties which do not have additional space.
